Reading to your baby may seem silly but it is SO important! As a teacher, I know how important it is to set the stage for later literacy skills, and reading every day provides a great activity for parent and baby. Babies will be comforted by hearing your voice, excited by your enthusiasm, and entertained by the pictures and illustrations. Here are some of our favorites ideal for birth-1 year or 1.5 years, although my 2.5 year old still enjoys many of these…

What other books do you love?
We have a lot of these!! I just picked up the original Mary Poppins books that I can't wait to start reading!!
We love little blue truck. Honestly, my 5 yo is starting to learn to read using it. He knows it by heart so now he's looking at the words and it's fun to see. I love all things books – thanks for the fun suggestions.
I love building our library, especially now that my oldest is in preschool and we can order through Scholastic.
Looks like you have a pretty great selection there. Our favorite books are good night moon and Chicka Chicka boom boom. Those always do the check for a great nights rest. thanks!
I agree! So important!
