How to Shop for Family Jammies!

Last year, I purchased EVERY SIZE I thought we would EVER need in the prints we are wearing in the photo above!!! We will see how that goes haha!!! These were Target, I have hopes to never purchase again but inevitably someone will probably lose their pair….

If you want to do family PJs, gather which sizes you’ll need and note any special needs (tall, maternity, etc…) then get shopping EARLY (like September/October) for best size selections, especially if you want jams for the entire fam!! If you just want them for your kiddos, you can probably wait longer because sizes won’t be AS hard to come by. If you want the best deal, wait for Black Friday/early December, but you won’t have best pick of sizes at that point!! Here are the best/most popular places to shop and some additional tips for shopping them:

Carter’s carries cute prints each year for baby — adult!! At some point between Black Friday and Early December, select prints have been known to go on sale for $5. We will see if that happens again this year, be sure you are following Naptime Deals and on our email list for the latest updates!

Target has a variety of prints for all seasons! Some are even 100% cotton, which happens to be what I got from them last year. They do go on sale or have Target circle offers occasionally (be sure you are following Naptime Deals and on our email list for the latest updates!) but popular sizes often sell out earlier in the season. For men, they have big and tall options! They also have a few options for four-legged friends!

Kohl’s usually carries a maternity option, but I’m not sure if I am seeing any this year yet! They have a huge selection of prints and sizes, including for four legged friends! I purchased from Kohl’s a few years back and tried to get the next years’ sizes but was unsuccessful, ha!

Hanna Andersson is a splurge, but the quality is excellent and the prints are unique and beautiful! They do run sales, if you can get them 40-50% off you’ll be doing great! (be sure you are following Naptime Deals and on our email list for the latest updates!) They offer regular sizing and options for four legged friends!

Little Sleepies (also a splurge) have taken the world by storm with their amazing fit (that apparently lasts up to 3x longer than other PJs!?!) , SOFT fabrics, and ADORABLE prints!! They’ve also got accessories like blankets, stockings, and bows to coordinate. The sizing is regular, and they’ve got bandanas for the pups!

Old Navy frequently runs sales site-wide (be sure you are following Naptime Deals and on our email list for the latest updates!), and has a wide variety of family jammies, they even include options for four legged friends!! Petite and Tall sizes are available! If you poke around, some of the pants seem to be available in maternity, but I don’t see a wide selection of maternity sizing.

Children’s Place and Gymboree have TONS of options and are frequently on sale! Select styles also have matching socks or slippers! Some have hats or headbands and even jewelry to coordinate!

JCPenney is also a great option for a wide array of options and sizes!

Burt’s Bee’s PJs have such cute prints in organic cotton!! They’ve got sizes for all ages plus bandanas for the pets!

Posh Peanut has not released a 2023 holiday collection yet, but they have ADORABLE matching styles and are another top pick for the SOFTEST fabrics! I love everything I have bought from them!

Primary has also not released their collection for 2023 yet, but they are a popular option for children’s pajamas!

Gap and Gap Factory have a few options to browse as well!

Other popular retailers to check out include WalMart, Amazon, Macy’s, Soma, Honest, Costco, and Etsy!

I love doing the family jammies, it makes Christmas morning (and eve) a lot of fun for us. It’s been a fun family tradition which is something I love to create and continue! Here are some more ideas of the traditions/activities we have done throughout the years!
